Hit Fit Speaking Event

** Testimonial **

I have been a client of Hit Fit for several years now. I am now 6 months pregnant and since becoming pregnant, my trainer, Jared, has paid close attention to my new workout regime taking into consideration my severe heartburn caused by hormonal changes during my pregnancy, and also my focus on trying to keep my backside in check since this is a very highly affected area during pregnancy.

For many women it has been shown that exercise during pregnancy can enhance energy levels, self-esteem and mood, while at the same time reducing some of the physical discomforts of pregnancy. A speedier recovery after delivery and a quicker return to the pre-pregnant state have also been documented. Studies have shown that the IQ of children from women who are active during pregnancy tend to be higher than those of children of non-active women.

It is also important to remember that pregnant women may have the tendency to overindulge in foods because of food cravings caused by hormonal changes. This can cause fat tissue gain, which can be controlled through exercise so my afternoon cheese snack I don't have to feel bad about because I am feeding my growing baby and I know I will keep my weight gain safe and in check as I reach the final stages of pregnancy.

With this in mind, the instructions from a personal trainer can have positive influences on a pregnant woman's psychological, as well as physical preparation for childbirth. Jared keeps me motivated and focused on a safe yet still active pregnancy lifestyle

The HIT FIT Philosophy

squatFollowing a comprehensive program based on your goals, backed by science, and with your given time, will get you where you want to go. While building your program, we will not only tell you what you need to do, but ask you what you like to do. What you think and feel about your workout is important to us. Unless you think the program effective and fun, exciting and dynamic, neither you (nor anyone else for that matter) would want to wholeheartedly follow it. Client satisfaction is of the upmost importance at HIT FIT, The Health Solution, and that is why each program is created for each individual.

All of my programs have a balanced approach that utilizes the basic components of fitness. A quick word on those major components:

  • Cardiovascular fitness is a cornerstone to any fitness program. This type of training burns a lot of calories, increases energy, helps cope with stress, and protects your heart from disease.
  • Resistance training is not just for the "Muscle heads" anymore. Strength training done correctly is probably the most important component of fitness in terms of its impact on weight maintenance, weight loss, metabolism, and overall health.
  • Flexibility is the most often overlooked component of fitness. Stretching is not a warm-up and should be performed after a warm-up or physical activity. Most often, people will stretch too hard and push a joint past its normal range of motion (ow!). This eye bulging experience can often lead to injury.
  • Eating awareness is crucial to your program. Exercise cannot offset improper nutrition. To get the most out of your program you will need to pay attention to your eating habits. "Diets" do not work long term, so instead I would rather you eat smart, enjoy food, and put into action a plan that will work for you.
